Logistics in Turkey

Logistics education has come to a very important place for Türkiye. The control, management and keeping of the logistics costs, which are included in the costs of all products or services, are academically followed and it is aimed to contribute to the process with various approaches. In 2005, Turkey's first Logistics Vocational High School, Mehmet Emin Horoz Anatolian Logistics Vocational High School, was established. The foundations of logistics education began to be laid in high school years. In order to provide academic education, a 4+1 (five) year department of the School of Transport and Logistics was established within the body of Istanbul University. In addition, the International Logistics Management department (4+1) with the English language of instruction was established within the body of Isik University, and the Department of International Logistics and Transportation within the body of Yeditepe University provides 4-year education. In addition, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Reyhanlı Vocational School International Logistics Department, Istanbul Arel University, Istanbul Bilgi University, Istanbul Commerce University, Istanbul Aydın University, Bekent University 4+1 Ayazağa Campus, Okan University and Beykoz Logistics Vocational School have Logistics Department. In addition, there is the first undergraduate program called Logistics Management at İzmir University of Economics. In addition, the logistics engineering master's programs with and without thesis were opened at Dokuz Eylül University. In addition, the newly opened Beykoz Logistics Vocational School has given a new impetus to logistics education.

In addition to these, Kadir Has University International Logistics Department and Istanbul Kemerburgaz University International Logistics Management 4+1 (five) are among the most important institutions providing education in this field. Logistics departments were also opened in state universities. Trakya University Logistics Management and Gaziantep University 4-year International Trade and Logistics Department, which started education in the 2009-2010 period, are some of them.

Armutlu Vocational School, which joined Yalova University, which was established in 2008, on March 25, 2009, also provides education in the field of Logistics Management under the Department of Management and Organization.

In addition, Bulent Ecevit University Zonguldak Vocational School also provides 2-year Logistics training. Yaşar University has an International Logistics Management Department. Founded in 2009, KTO Karatay University also has a 4-year International Trade Department. There is also a Logistics Management department, which will be opened in the 2016-2017 academic year.
